We stayed at the Artisan Inn in the Barbour House for 2-nights in early September ($185/night).

What more could anyone ask? I shall be back, maybe with other family and friends, to stay in one of the larger beautiful properties they offer.

I mentioned to the owners as I left that a lightbulb over the stove was out, and that I had difficulty opening the sash windows and have already had an email telling me those issues have been dealt with. I ate in the restaurant one night, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the service and the atmosphere. The bathroom had a great new bathtub as well as shower attachment, thick, white towels and a housecoat lined in sheepskin material. The bedroom was such a joy, with books floor to ceiling, classics and modern, lovely linens, a comfy bed and pillows, good bedside lights, pretty curtains but also roller blinds for privacy and for blackout. The kitchen was equipped with absolutely everything you could need, a lovely space with its thoughtful lighting and peaceful colour choices. I began by exploring the town itself, ended up fantasizing about living there one day! I stayed in the Studio King Suite in Barbour House, which had its own deck with water view where I sat each evening with a glass of wine, wrapped in a quilt. The town was pretty quiet, most of the actual attractions were closed, but thanks to Marieke and her mother I got to see many puffins and an iceberg! I was given a great set of suggested itineraries and I used them to the fullest. I loved my stay here at the start of the season. We very much recommend this property for an amazing visit in Trinity.… Marieke made sure from before our arrival, and throughout out stay that we were taken care of and all our needs were met, giving us her cel number for communication. We felt this was our new ‘familly’ for the short stay we had. The dinner we had at the Twine Loft was SO delicious -may sure you make a reservation - and the service was excellent- attention given always to the guests. The breakfasts ($10 each credit) were satisfying and you could order more food if needed. The combination lock on the door was good to have (rather than plastic card key….the location is central to all the small village has to offer: the beauty, walks/trails/shops/dining - all was wonderful to experience.

The queen bed was comfortable with a TV in a good location to bed. The room had a tub/shower and enough counter space to put toiletries on (which many places lack). The windows did have condensation on them which hindered slightly the view. We trust there’s no rush to submit your offer for the Artisan, as we’re not entirely sure the Artisan isn’t just perpetually for sale.We stayed 2 nights in the Barbour House late May (2nd floor - no elevator - in the Cove Room) - the room was quaint and cozy, facing the water, but still in view was the restaurant and the walking area to get there. We trust if you’re shopping for a boutique hotel in Las Vegas, and you’re not obsessed with “making a profit,” Artisan is an excellent value. Until it’s sold, if it’s sold, the blissfully adults-only Artisan offers some great room deals. (The gaming thing, not the cannibis thing, but to each their own.) Artisan calls it an “ultra-lounge,” because everything just sounds cooler with “ultra” in front of it. The Artisan is described as an “attractive non-gaming property with potential to be rebranded to a gaming or cannabis use.” Now, you have our attention.
